![]() If I had to describe it in a few words I’d say that it is dark and beautiful. ![]() Reading “World After” felt like being served dessert after a week of not eating at all – I could taste every word on my lips, and no matter how many pages I would read, they were never quite enough to stop my hunger. There were many questions raised in those few last pages and most of the answers will be found between the pages of this very awesome book. The ending was dark and –now that I think about it- it fits perfectly the feeling from “World After”. Suffice it to say it’s been well over a decade since I last read anything of Albom’s, and so when my friend David Wade bought a copy of For One More Day from beautiful Bouquiniste Book Café while en route back from my birthday getaway in nearby Broughton Vale, I soon after borrowed it. I have a better recollection of Tuesdays with Morrie – I book whose movie adaptation I enjoyed almost as much as the novel that inspired it. My recollection of it is hazy I think I read it back when I was a teenager, and I have a vague memory of either my step-dad or step-brother recommending it to me, though I could be making that up completely. The first book I read of Mitch Albom’s was The Five People You Meet in Heaven. ![]() |
