![]() ![]() ![]() The sort of book that you know is going to be a tear-jerker from the moment you start it, For One More Day tells the tale of Charley ‘Chick’ Benetto, whose life is in ruins. Suffice it to say it’s been well over a decade since I last read anything of Albom’s, and so when my friend David Wade bought a copy of For One More Day from beautiful Bouquiniste Book Café while en route back from my birthday getaway in nearby Broughton Vale, I soon after borrowed it. I have a better recollection of Tuesdays with Morrie – I book whose movie adaptation I enjoyed almost as much as the novel that inspired it. My recollection of it is hazy I think I read it back when I was a teenager, and I have a vague memory of either my step-dad or step-brother recommending it to me, though I could be making that up completely. The first book I read of Mitch Albom’s was The Five People You Meet in Heaven. ![]()
